We offer mentoring, technical and hands-on training for students and new graduates who are transitioning into the workforce. We also offer structured career advancement programs customized to individual goals so that our employees can see how they can advance their career at Sanjel. Our management team actively recruits within the organization for future leaders and managers. That is a key factor as to why Sanjel has so many employees who have been with the Company for 5, 10, 15 and 20 years. Sanjel is committed to developing individuals who have a high level of competence in their roles. Sanjel’s global competency program provides clear expectations and meaningful assessments to guide employees in their development.
Sanjel offers extensive online and classroom training courses focused on knowledge development, on-the-job training and coaching. Through our training management system, employees are assigned to take required training courses that relate to their job by their manager. From day one, employees are required to take a mandatory new-hire training course that includes classroom instructional learning and hands-on training.
The Company also provides safety training, driver training, leadership training, operational and technical training. We have three regional training centers in addition to our corporate training center at the Sanjel Professional Park facility located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Our corporate facility has advanced and specialized training equipment that is unique to the industry, such as our Coiled Tubing Simulator. As required, employees from our global operations are sent to our corporate training center for training on our specialized training equipment.
On a yearly basis employees are expected to prepare an annual training and development plan with their managers and agree on specific actions to meet their goals within the plan. This may include taking in-house courses, signing-up for off-site seminars, or enrolling in a course at an accredited educational institution.
Working in conjunction with various accredited educational institutions, Sanjel participates in hiring cooperative students. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain knowledge about the energy services industry, hands-on experience working in their chosen profession and to learn more about Sanjel. Sanjel offers its employees partial or complete reimbursement for job-related seminars, workshops, courses at an accredited institution and any other programs targeted to improving your skills, knowledge and competency. The level of reimbursement is evaluated on an individual basis by your managers and is based on your personal career development plan.
