Our extensive operational experience in the different environments of Western Canada's Sedimentary Basin and the US Rocky Mountain Region is a key component to the quality pumping services we provide. Sanjel is the industry leader in slow rate pumping technology and well abandonment. The migration of gas to surface via the production/surface casing annulus is an accepted liability in the petroleum industry. There are also situations wherein migrating gases will negotiate a route to surface outside the surface casing. The repair of these situations is a non-revenue generating exercise with the potential to reach significant expenditures. Using our own unique Slow Rate Pumping Unit and abrasive jet technology, Sanjel provides an effective and proven strategy that will efficiently initiate and direct this process, consequently minimizing the total cost of the intervention.
With a greater focus on deeper drilling and more technically challenging wells, Sanjel operates the industry's only Critical Well Team. This team of qualified personnel is built around experience with Sanjel - people who know our equipment, our technology, and our applications. From well design through to job completion, our Critical Well Team specialists dedicate their expertise and knowledge to technically challenging projects and wells with a total depth greater than 3000 m (10000 ft). Under complete team commitment, they practice full circle communication between the well site, head office and the customer. Providing effective and economical treatment recommendations, Sanjel's Critical Well Team is an invaluable resource that ensures our continued success and focused commitment in dealing with technically challenging wells.
Sanjel's vast cementing database allows us to find the most reliable and cost-effective applications to maximize well production and meet our customers' varying needs. On an area-specific basis, we proactively identify problems such as lost circulation and surface casing vent flows, and provide customized solutions to avoid remediation. New proprietary cement blends and additives are continually being developed at our Technical Center, while ongoing refinement of existing blends takes place. Using sophisticated laboratory technology, each blend is tested under simulated real-world conditions to ensure optimal performance and quality control.
