At our core we strive to deliver environmentally conscious solutions for improved cementing, supporting the industry’s objective to reduce carbon emissions and achieve net zero by 2050, while prioritizing the safety and well-being of our people and the communities in which we operate. We continuously review our Scope 1 and 2 emissions to identify areas of opportunity, and our research and development team continually enhances our cementing blends and additives with a keen focus on enhanced well integrity, water conservation, and reduced CO2 emissions.
In 2021, we commercially launched and implemented green cement solutions with our ECObase blends, reducing our carbon footprint on those jobs by more than 25% compared to the industry’s commercially used oil well Class C and Class G cements. ECObase blends accounted for 57% of the
total blends we pumped in 2022, supporting the industry’s commitment to reduce carbon emissions
and resulting in an approximate reduction of more than 9,000 tonnes of CO2 over the entire year.
